As Dudley’s continues to evolve, we’re pleased to say that we feature a curated and in-depth selection of new and used literary fiction. In addition we carry all the best guidebooks, western history, science-fiction and fantasy, an ever-changing staff picks section, along with a cross-genre selection of new and notable hardbacks. Oh, and those hardbacks? They’re 20% off each and every day. No other bookstore in Central Oregon can say that. And if you still haven’t found something to your liking we have an entire second floor full of used books across all subjects.
Leave the coffee snobbery outside. At Dudley’s there’s no complicated brewing equipment or six different roasts to choose from. What we do have is a time-honored La Marzocco Linea pulling shots for all the classic espresso drinks, served by friendly, engaging baristas. We serve a nice, chocolaty, medium-dark roast Guatemalan, different than the bright acidic roasts you’ll find at most other shops in town. Not in the mood for coffee? We serve teas from Metolius, T’s Tonics, and Jasmine Pearl. In addition to drinks we serve a variety of locally baked pastries and snacks to complement that perfect espresso drink.
Dudley’s has become the Downtown spot for meetings, both formal and informal. Cozy and comfortable enough for a one-on-one or study session on the couch or take advantage of our large upstairs room for your business meeting or planning session. We have everything from language groups and philosophy clubs to book clubs and writer’s groups who use our space. For something a bit more private we also have a small “nook” upstairs suitable for 4-5 people. If you would like to reserve space for your meeting (and we suggest you do), please click here for more information.
“What I say is, a town isn’t a town without a bookstore. It may call itself a town, but unless it’s got a bookstore it knows it’s not fooling a soul.”
– Neil Gaiman, ‘American Gods‘
