As Dudley’s has continued to evolve, we’re pleased to say that we now feature a curated and in-depth selection of new and used literary fiction. In addition we carry all the best guidebooks, regional history, science-fiction and fantasy, an ever-changing staff picks section, along with a cross-genre selection of new and notable hardbacks. Oh, and those hardbacks? They’re 20% off each and every day. And if you still haven’t found something to your liking we have an entire upstairs room full of used books across all subjects.
It’s not just the books that have changed at Dudley’s. We’ve stepped our coffee game big time and we’ll put our espresso drinks up against anyone in town. We’re using Bonsai Beans, one of the best local micro-roasters for our beans with a nice, chocolaty, dark roast Guatemalan- different than the bright acidic roasts you’ll find at most other shops in town. When the weather’s warm give our Cold Brew on nitro a shot. In addition to coffee we serve a variety of house-baked scones and specialty baked goods to complement that perfect espresso, including the only authentic British Pasty in town.
Dudley’s is quickly becoming the Downtown spot for meetings, both formal and informal. Cozy and comfortable enough for a one-on-one or a study session on the couch or take advantage of our large upstairs room for your business meeting or planning session. We have everything from language groups and philosophy clubs to book clubs and writer’s groups who use our space. For something a bit more private we also have a small “nook” upstairs suitable for 4-5 people. If you would like to reserve space for your meeting (and we suggest you do), please click here for more information.
“What I say is, a town isn’t a town without a bookstore. It may call itself a town, but unless it’s got a bookstore it knows it’s not fooling a soul.”
– Neil Gaiman, ‘American Gods‘
